I just purchased about 130 mixed dubias from a couple of places. I've had it all setup about a week. I have them in a 20 gallon long tank with egg crates stacked vertically on both sides. The tank is on top of the 4x2x2 I built for one of my beardies. Because its on top of the light fixtures, the temp on the floor is about 90, with it about 80-82 at the top of the crates. I've got the water crystals out, the chow, along with slices of apples and/or oranges. They seem to be thriving pretty well, I also keep a towel over the front and sides of the viv to keep it darker in there. Of my two beardies, the bigger one I have wont touch the dubias, she ate like two when I first got them and since wont eat them, she prefers hornworms. The other of my two beardies LOVES them, and I fed her a large female today. I guess I shouldn't have done this, but it seemed as if my beardie Bella was in the mood. Come to find out as she was chewing on it, the sack of eggs (like the pics twobeardieguy posted) came out! I was pretty mad because I didn't know she was pregnant. The sac was still in tact and it was on the ground. Throw it away? My question:
Is there any way to tell if the females are pregnant or not?
I've got a bunch of small nymphs running around also, so how small are they when they are born? One more question, how long does it take for a dubia to grow up?

Only way you can tell if they are gravid is watch them push the egg sack out. I dont think you will want to sit there all day and watch and keep up with the gravid ones so I would suggest just dont feed them off.

The fresh babies are about the size of a pin head cricket (2-3mm). Give or take.
The dubias will should reach full maturity and size in about, 4-6 months. This obviously being dependent on how much and of what kind of food you supply. And also, the temperature and humidity of the enclosure.

I honestly do not watch them to know for sure how long mine take. I feed hundreds of nymphs and probably 10 males a day, and constantly see an increase in population.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
