Hi everybody... I just got my little guy two days ago, on Friday. He is such a lover that I named him Romeo. He's about a month old. Right now I'm slightly terrified that I hurt him because he fell almost four feet to the floor when I was putting his crickets away ... he seems to be moving okay but I feel horrible!! He only ate two crickets today but I'm hoping tomorrow he eats at least three. I want my little boy to be healthy!

But yeah like I said I'm so nervous I hurt him when he fell out of my hand. :(

I'm Lindsey, I obviously am a teacher in Arizona, and I also have a 13 year old rescue cat named Paisley (and a betta named Houdini).

Welcome!

As long as he is moving around he is probably fine. They are pretty tough. Toa has jumped blindly a few times but have never hurt himself.

He has fallen off of his basking spot a few times, but this was a lot farther! I'm slightly more concerned that he is only eating two crickets a day. :(

It is probably relocation stress, it can take a while for them to adjust to their new home, up to a week or so if I remember correctly.

So as long as he's eating a little, I shouldn't be too worried? He doesn't have stress marks I don't think and he seems relaxed, so hopefully he's just acclimating to his new home. :)

Hi there and welcome. New beardie mom too. :)
It took me a few days to stop worrying about every little thing I do or he does, so I get where you are coming from. So paranoid and worried haha. But he is doing great now; just give your new baby a little time to get use to everything.

He ate a leftover cricket this morning and had a bowel movement (second one since I got him Friday) so I'm happy. His new heat lamp gets to the ideal temp now (other one was a few degrees too cool, I think) so I'm happy. I just wish he'd eat his greens!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
