You should let him eat as much live food as he wants in 10-15 min 3 x a day. Babies diet should be 80% protein / 20% veggies. At 8 weeks my baby was eating 65-70 crickets a day and many people's Beardies on this site eat even more! I bet he will eat more once you get the lighting issues corrected.

yeah i know how big to feed the crickets, yeah i once considered switching my reptiles to dubias awhile ago, but decided not to, i like breeding my crickets (im aware its EXTREMELY simple to breed dubias) i just like the crickets better, none have given me any problems with any of my beasts, so i like to stick to them I will however be feeding Zeus phoenix worms (when he is old enough) since everyone else eats them and theyre amazing nutrition. and also, i went ahead and just bought the zoo med hood, i had the money to spend so why not? so yeah, he has UVB and UVA now

You don't have to wait until a certain age to feed phoenix worms. They are soft bodied and don't cause impaction.

this is true, but all my others eat the large, so it would be annoying to order small and large, ya know? won't have to wait too long though, they aren't that big
