We just purchased a 15 month old beardie, Mikko, from a Craigslist ad with full 50 gallon tank setup - habitat, lighting, etc. from a young mother whose husband was just returning from Iraq and she couldn't give him the attention he needs. He's healthy, eating okay, only pooped twice this week. But we're enjoying getting to know Mikko and have lots of questions for the forum. We're quickly learning this is something that takes a lot of self-education and consistent routines, much like our kids and dogs!

Congrats on the new baby!

Yes having a beardie is like having a baby :) They are small but do need taking care of. You will learn all your life of having these fantastic little critters. I have had beardies for 8 years now and I'm still learning new things. Feel free to ask questions and post pictures!!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
