Hello all! I'm hoping someone can help with my electronics issue. I've got a seven year old beardie that I've had on the same heating set up since I got him at about a month old. I've attached photos of the thermostat and bulbs I use. The thermostat pulses the heat lamp on or off depending on the temperature at the cool end of the vivarium and is attached to a timer so that it is completely off all night. I also have a UVB strip bulb that gives him light throughout the day and turns off at the same time as the heat lamp at night.
I replace the bulbs whenever they need it but otherwise my setup has been working fine for seven years. Now my thermostat has died (checked the fuses and can't find the issue, and the heat lamp works fine plugged in by itself). I wasn't the one to originally create the setup of this vivarium and now I can't find the exact version of thermostat to replace and I'm not sure which one would be best to buy instead. Also I've come across dimmer thermostats that I'd never heard of before, would one of those be good or is it best to keep my boy in the same lighting setup he's always lived in? Any help recommending what thermostat to go for would be greatly appreciated!
