New Tank. Need some suggestions.

I just got a 40 gallon breeder tank for my beardie. The only problem is that I am unsure how to set it up. Cori is pretty active and likes to have things to climb on and hide under, so any suggestions for that set up would be very appreciated.

Also, because it is a bigger tank than I have now I would also like to know what watt heat and UVB lamps I would need.

Hello,

Well, with a larger tank, you will need a higher wattage lightbulb. I would say at least a 100 watt basking bulb, alongside of the UVB light. What type of UVB light are you using? A flourescent tube or a mercury vapor bulb?
You will probably need to use a lower wattage bulb on the opposite side of the tank, just to help brighten the tank up since it is longer than your other one. You can use a regular household lightbulb or an energy saver coil type of light.
Have you built a basking platform yet?

I am using a tube for UVB right now. But it's small.

No Basking platform yet. I was actually wondering what kind of platform and how I could do it.

He didn't move into the bigger tank because I want it all set up before he gets in.
