New slave to 3 yr old beardie concerned about nose discolora

So I've just recently gotten what I believe to be a three year old bearded from a family friend she didn't think she was taking proper care of him. I've moved him to a larger tank and he has always lived with walnut grinds so I've put a fresh bag in with him. He seems happy she eats alot. But looks small to be three years old. Now to my main concern the tip of his nose is discolored and has been for the week that I've had him. But as of this morning it has appeared to spread toward his eye. I'm sure its just a shed but would like to make sure nothing is wrong with my little guy.

Can you post a picture.

Also loose substrate is not the healthiest. Hard to keep clean and breeds bacteria. Much better to use paper towels during quarantine and slate tiles in permanent home later.

Perfect post for me to fall upon! I was seeking info on what might be going on with MY new 3 year rescue BD and looked at your pic and wow! It's like we have the same dragon, same coloration, same whitish patch, everything! Glad to know!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
