New shed skin is white?

Hi, i have a 2 yr. old dragon named henry, and he has been shedding, and i have 2 questions....
he is shedding in little areas. like his half arm will shed, then the rest, and then a part of his eyelid, and part of his leg and such.. but isnt it supposed to be almost all body at once? i know the shed skin isnt gonna come off ALL at once... but his skin is just coming off in different random spots...
and, when it shed, he new skin is a WHITE color? he is normally a orange with brown... ill post some pics later. but why is his new skin white? his heat bulb recently burnt out, and so he just has his uv, (i am still 14, my mom gets that stuff for me, and she wont get it!!! ) and i have been going out side with him for a couple hours a day, putting him on the porch, but then he wants to go on the grass and run around, (we live in a small neighborhood and we know everyone, and they dont use any kind of chemicals on their lawns and such) scince its been warm and all. the temps have been around 75-87 degrees ferinheight. ill be out with him for an hr, and then ill feed him, and an hour and 1/2 later or such, ill put him in the tub for about 15 mihuets, and then do my chores, and go back outside with him until it starts t oget cooler.
so any ideas why his new skin is white?

It's hard to say why is freshly shed skin is white without seeing pictures of how he looks. It is normal for a 2 yr old to only shed in patches, babies are the ones that do the full body shed. It's good that you're bathing him, that will help the skin to shed sooner.

Even though his heat bulb burnt out, you can use a standard household light bulb in place of the basking bulb and they are much cheaper. You really need to get some heat to him or he won't be able to digest his food that can cause all sorts of health issues. What wattage basking bulb were you using before? You should use the same wattage regular light bulb if you got good temps before. What type of thermometer are you using and what were the temps? Could you fill us in on the brand & type of UVB you have since there are some that aren't good to use?
