I recently made a thread asking about UVB distance, and a recently cricket thread, so sorry for the multitude of threads I am just nervous I am doing something incorrect. I am going to post some pictures of my setup, and if anyone has any advice or questions that can help that would be great.

The long light is the UVB, the taller light is a night time heat light, and the black wider dome is a 100 watt basking lamp.

So pretty!! Everyone gets pretty creative with their tank, which makes me want to join the fun!

But I do think the basking post is to close to the light.

I am new to the thread, and I also am figuring things out on my own.. But from what I have researched it's supposed to be 8-12in away.

I am not an expert, but I believe this is what was said.

Don't worry about making so many threads. As long as they aren't all just fluff and spam, no one minds too much.
Its a really nice looking tank! Honestly, I feel a beardie tank should be more long than tall, but you definitely made good use of your space. Having levels for your beardie to climb is really good for them. I personally don't like keeping on a screen, but it works out here.
Kdiaz09, he does have it at the right spacing. They talked about it in another thread. UVB distance is determined by multiple factors, including reflectors, type of bulb, and screens. With the screen, this is a more appropriate distance from the UVB.

Thanks for that!

I just thought with his tail nearly touching the basking bulb, it would just be bad news, but I was wrong!

I also have a screen top as well. My little guy is about 7inches away from it.. If he gets any closer, the basking bulb will burn him.. I'm not sure how am I suppose to work with the two.. Just got a 60G tank.. I'll have to mount it because that just seems more easier.. I'm assuming.

As long as the temperatures don't get above 110 or so, it should work just fine.
If you are having trouble with controlling the temperature, use a dimmer. You can get one from pretty much any department store for very cheap.
Also, AustinnKaine, what bulb do you use for your night time heat lamp? Just wanted to make sure its a good one.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
