***New Rocky Pics!***

gave rocky his 1st bath today....well, first one from ME, prior owner used to give him one sometimes....what a trip that was! i don't have a tub, so i bought a sterlite container for his tub. i put him in, he was totally immobile, just looked up at me like whattttttt u doing to me??!! so i splashed a little water on him, stroked his head a bit. he didn't wanna move lol. then he swam a little bit over to the side where i was standing. he hasn't gone poo since wed, so i said hmmmm they say they go in water...so like i was told, i slowly stroked his belly and within a couple minutes woosh!! PEWWWWWW!!! man oh man, i knew it stunk in his tank, but even in the water it smelled bad lol. so put him back in his tank, and bleached out his tub for next time. i come back in, and he is just alllllllll chillin' in his tank like dangggg now i feel GOOD! :lol:

anywho, the 1st 2 pics are of him in the bath, the 2nd 2 are in the tank....i love the position he was in...he stayed like that for the longest time lol

i don't know why he looks so light-colored in the bath....he's more the darker color that shows in the tank.....

thanks! i know, the color change is weird! do they normally lighten up in a bath like that??? or is he just a strange one lol?

Mine change a lot when bathing as well. It's kinda neat 8)

Sounds like the bath was enjoyed and paid off. :lol: Bet he is more comfortable now.

Since bath water is so warm, they lighten up in color. Perhaps he was a little cool when you put him back in his tank and he was darker to try to absorb the heat quicker. He looks very relaxed though.

yep, yesterday a bath and today out in the sun! took his bathtub and put a towel and one of his rocks in it, got him out here on the deck with me.....at least he is unbearded now and not flattened like a pancake no more lol
