New owners, meet Spencer

Hello! We welcomed our new baby dragon today and are so excited for this new adventure. He is technically our son's birthday gift (he's asked for four years) but I'm equally excited to care for him and enjoy him!

His name is Spencer and he's a ~4 month old hypo leatherback male. He seems to be enjoying his basking spot so far! We haven't fed him yet and weren't sure if we should quite yet or give him the day to settle.

We think he's pretty cute!

Congratulations on the new addition, he is a absolutely beautiful boy! It's recommended to provide food immediately, he probably won't eat for the first day or two, but it's good for him to have food available if he wants to eat! I'm sure you are going to have so much fun with him!!

Thank you for the response and for the reminder that he may not eat. When we turned the lights out he kinda went crazy, running all over before aettling down. This morning we put in five crickets and some dusted kale and shredded carrot. Guess we'll wait and see if he eats? The breeder was only feeding him crickets and lots of them.
