I am so very sorry. Maybe you should do a bunch of research and adopt another bearded dragon into your family. You learn from your mistakes and I think you would be a great reptile mom if you just did some research on beardies. They are amazing pets and I wouldn't want you missing out. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you buy another beardie soon.

If he makes a recovery please get rid of the walnut crushing. It causes severe impaction and is never good to use. Most recommended flooring is carpet (you can find specific reptile carpeting at a pet store) or even tile. Sand is not recommended but should definitely not be usedisappointed on young BDs. Calcisand is one that some like but I steer away from it. You have also done good on providing heat but you should also be using a UVB light too. It sounds like to me he could be going through brumation. I have not encountered the problem but I've heard people reduce their heat to 80-85 and allow them to take their course for as long as 6 weeks. It's just hibernation, even though this is less common due to breeding in captivity. You need to take him to a exotic specialist and make sure he is okay. But please get rid of the walnut crushings.
He didn't make a recovery if you read the thread.
Also, how did everyone miss the Walnut shells? That's a pretty big miss. (No offense to anyone, just surprised no one else mentioned it) Calcisand is also almost as bad as walnut shells. Not even from a loose substrate perspective, but a much worse impaction issue than regular sand.
But do keep us informed about your new beardie, pheonixsmom!

MY Frankie just died 2 days ago and I am CONVINCED his bloody and horrific death was caused by Exo-Terra sand mats. The only sand he had in his tank. I am so devastated right now. I will share more info for others to learn about these mats when I Can stop crying. - Lynne

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
