new mom.. kinda worried...

We got Athena on black friday... 6 days ago. We've been feeding her collard greens, turnip greens and squash daily. Crickets have been every other day. Friday and Saturday there was no poo. Sunday and monday she did, but it was very runny. Have had no poo tues or today (wed.). She ate like a champ Sunday & Monday. Tues and Wed. a little less. Temp is 106 on the basking side 78 on the cool side. She's approx. 8 months old. She is basking. Still very alert and seems content. She hates bath time. So, we've been doing short intervals twice a day instead of one long one. Does this sound normal or could there be something wrong? Is there anything else I can do that may aid her in going? Please help! Thanks..

if she is 8 months old she should be offered live feeders everyday along with her greens

feed her as many feeders as she will eat in a 15 minute period

answer all of these questions so we can make sure everything else is correct

What type substrate do you have on the bottom of your tank?

How close can your dragon get to the UVB?

Where exactly are you taking your basking temps?
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad?
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific.
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)?
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc?
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them?
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)?

What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific. large crickets (was every other day.. now every day) collard greens, squash, turnip greens
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)? greens in the morning.. crickets in the evening w/ more greens
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc? no
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them? yes, fluker's, every other day
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)? no (did get one today though !)
Do you bath your dragon? How often? every other day. twice a day 15 min or so intervals (she hates the bath)
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath? water bowl in enclosure

I did get poo today!!!! But, any other info you can get from these answers is greatly appreciated... thanks for getting back to me.

Don't sweat the poops... if the temps are right, they're hydrated, they are alert, they eat... and they poop when they're ready

Sometimes they go a few days between poops, but as long as the set up is good and they're alert, it will pass.

No need to worry, sometimes adults will seem to forget to poop for a week, then you can worry.

well i would upgrade her to a bigger enclosure b/c at her size a 20g is pretty small

the minimim dementions are 36x18x18 inches but i would go with a 75 to offer more room i have seen adults in 40g breeders and they looked too cramped to me just dont get a standard 55g b/c they are too skinny

ok for light get rid of the blue bulb

they need a bright light the blue bulbs dont make it light enough get a regular basking bulb

as for the suppliments she should be getting pure calcium 3x a week and then a calcium w/ d3 1x a week and a multi vit. 1x a week

everything else sounds good though

omg... I said 20... it is a 30 gal tank...
I want to work on getting her a bigger one.. that may have to wait til after the holidays though...
this blue light seems to be more like a hyper white bulb (i work in the auto industry.. that's the only thing I have to compare it to!) It looks blue, but when you turn it on it's very bright and puts out a lot of heat...
Suppliments. Any suggestions on what kind (brand) and where to get them from? Multi vit too!

ok a 30 sounds much better

do you mean a flood light? that is the only thing i can think of that looks blue but puts out a bright light if so those are fine

for suppliments i reccomend repcal
