Hello Everyone,
New member here I'm Jimbo and my BD named Kingston(i attached a pic) I just got him on friday from a breeder. I'm new to beardies but i have owned iguanas before. Kingston Is a baby he's(well im not sure about the sex yet)about 6 inches in long. The Breeder answered alot of my questions but i did have a few questions about UVB lights. I have him in a 22 gallon aquarium now. i plan on upgrading to a 55 gallon when he gets a little bigger but i have a 100watt sun glo basking lamp. but I need to purchase a UVB light. Can a CFL or Regular Fluro lamp be used for UVB? The UVB lamps at the local pet store appear to be just regular CFLs . any info on this would be helpful

Hello and welcome!

Your little beardie is adorable.

A regular bulb will not do for a uvb. There are a few good bulbs you could use. Reptisun 5, Reptisun 10, or Reptiglo 8. These are the long flourescent tubes, not coils or compacts.
