Hello! My name is Lexus (you can call me Lex!) and I've been reading these forums ever since I got my lovely girl Éowyn way back in July. I'd always wanted a beardie since I first met one in the reptile care section of a science museum when I was little, but my parents told me that I could never have one. HAH! I pet sit for my neighbors, and after another wonderful month of looking after 2 yappy yorkies, I finally had enough to adopt a bearded dragon of my own.
I actually found her on craigslist, from a couple who's son had unfortunately been diagnosed with cancer and could no longer take care of her (and their other beardie, who I couldn't take, sadly.) I was pretty cautious about finding an animal online, but I did get to visit her before paying for her. She was super happy, super healthy, and I am more than happy with her now
As a teenager and a cosplayer, I've shown my dorky side by making her a costume or two...and my cat has matching ones.
(Sadly I can't get these two together for a picture safely, but I think y'all should see their matching capes uwu)
