New Hypo Trans SilkBack

Hey guys sorry its been such a while since i last posted. My little female silkback Whinny passed away last week. We have no clue what happened. What we dont understand is she was supposedly 2 months old, but only 4.5 inches. she was eating and drinking and active. just not growing.

so we went to the reptile show this weekend, and Kaizen Reptiles was there. He had a 10inch male Hype Trans silkback with him. I asked to hold him to see what they felt like. Whinny was so small, I couldnt get a good feel of her skin. Needless to say I fell in love with him. Hes currenty sitting on my hand while I type. LOL.

He has all clear nails, and the translucent skin tone. He also has solid black eyes, and a very slight tail nip. Hes 2 months old (born May 14th) and 10 inches. He is a BIG BOY. Hes plowing through his dubias, supers, and salads. And he LOVES to cuddle. He also loves soft things on his skin like my fleece robe. Lol.

Because of how artistic he looks, we named him Picasso. Hes adorable when he head bobs.

Haha thank you guys! He is such a doll baby. I love the males personalities compared to the females, and he loves to cuddle and be held.

Killer price on him too. Full hypo trans with solid black eyes, 10 inch male, 200$, no shipping or tax (got him at the midwest reptile expo). I think I did pretty good! lol

Im sorry for your loss. I just lost my Silkback about a week ago too She was a great eater and really active. Woke up one morning and she had passed. It was really strange and upsetting. We are talking with the breeder to figure out what had happened.

Love him though! He is so handsome I hope you have a lots of fun with this big guy!!!

I just lost my baby Dylila...sounds like we had the same problem. She was 3 months and only 6 inches and 6 grams, and even the vet can't figure it out. He thinks it was a birth defect of some kind. I just got a new baby as well, it definitely helps the heart to heal!! Your new baby is beautiful!! So, what do the silkbacks feel like??

yea my first silkback came from A1. i wasnt impressed with them from the get go. very rude. shipped a day early without my permission. had no interest in answering my questions. i do not reccomend them at all. they all are about profit and dont care about the babies they sell or who they sell them to.

but my little picasso is such a wonderful baby. Kaizen loves their babies and the nuture them so well. Picasso is 3 months old and is as calm as my adult beardies. my 4 month old leatherback is still hyper at times. Chris from kaizen was telling me how his wife spends time cuddling each and every one of their babies, and it shows in picassos personality.

i highly reccomend kaizen, and he has wonderful prices on normals, leathers, and silks.

and for the people above me, i am terribly sorry for your losses. little babies are so hard to keep going with any species. just dont give up.
