I apologize for putting my info/first post in the general section.........guess sleep deprivation will do that to someone!

Guess I will start by saying 'Hello' and thank you all for answering quite a few of the questions I was asking myself (I lurked for a while before joining). My name is Brad, and I live in Ohio (for the moment). My Beardie is about 8 months old, and her name is Cooper (yes, naming before finding the sex out leads to some strange names!). I look forward to being a part of the community and making my little girls life better through reading/interacting here.

Welcome Brad from Ohio
and Welcome Cooper

I am Jim I have Two beardies which I gave the name Robby and Erin/Aaron I really don't know their sex but the name works either way so.

Do you have any pics of Cooper?

The pics I do have are currently on my phone. I will have to get them loaded to Photobucket to share. Most of the pics I do have are from when she came home from PetsMart and from when she was attacked/injured badly by one of her initial tankmates. Since she has come home with me, I have a few pics. I need to get more of her, to document her maturation and color shift.

Thanks for the welcome, and I look forward to being here and learning more about my little Beardie.

So far, I have sensory overload there is so much info here! Usually I join a forum already knowing quite a bit abut the subject matter, but I have to say this is one of the first times I have gone in blind and unknowing of the subject. I cannot thank everyone who contributes here enough for what I have learned so far, and will continue to learn. Cooper thanks you too, as she is doing better now thanks to the info here. I know she will never get much bigger than she is now (7"-8") because of what happened to her early on, but at least she can be much healthier and happier now that I know more about her care and needs.

I have been working out Coopers diet (still have to syringe feed her as she is afraid of live food/hasn't figured out the chopped veggies yet) and have switched her UVB light to a Repti-Sun 10.0, set her hot side/basking temp to between 105*-108* with the cool side at roughly 82*. Night temps get down to between 70*-72*. She is much more attentive and overall active now. She still isn't growing (and at 8 months, I don't see too much growing time left for her), so it looks like my little girl will remain little for the rest of her life (she is just shy of 7" at the moment).

Overall, she has improved with me implementing what I am learning here. Thanks to everyone for the welcomes and the information you have contributed. Cooper is much better because of it. Being new to Beardies, I didn't know squat about them (even though my girlfriend has 3 healthy Beardies). Now, even her lizards will benefit by me being here (I an trying to talk her into joining as well).

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
