New here, need name suggestions and advice!

Just got this little guy/girl about a week ago. I just loved his citrus color and had to have him. Name suggestions? Also when would I be able to determine it's gender? Also, would anyone have any good guess as to its age? I would say he's about 2.5 inches without his tail. I can't wait for him to get HUGE.

Welcome to the forum! He's a nice looking little guy. Still pretty young. You want to measure him from nose to tail so he's about 7'' or so. How much does he weigh? It's good to keep track of his weight (in grams) so you can follow his growth and monitor his health. I'd guess he's maybe 2 months old or so give or take a few weeks. They grow at different rates so it's hard to tell exactly.

Welcome! I'm also kinda new, my beardy is named Sandy. But ofcorse I know her gender. ?, he/she should have the lights about 12" from her/his basking spot, feed the little guy some salad and crickets, like do, one day crickets, o e day salad, and do that pattern, also bathe him/her once a week in luke warm water, make sure the crickets arnt to big, if they get to big it can make the beardy sick, (know from experience) also hold him/her every day almost, hold the little guy a lot! So they are used to it, and it helps them to grow affection for you, sinse he's young you need to spray or get a drop of water on your finger, and put it on his nose, he should kick it up, this helps them get the water they need, and get some reptile shed eas spray, helps them shed especially when young, also helps with fungus, hope this all helps you and the little guy, and not sure how old or what gender, just wait and see, look up pics on Google search or female, and male beardies, and see what day gender looks like, underneath, in private spot, anyways, have fun and take care! ??

You won't be able to sex it until it's sexually mature, so 8 months or so. There is a post under the Care Sheets and Articles section up top that tells you how.

If you want to share your setup we can offer some advice or tips. The kits from pet stores generally have a lot of crap in them which aren't good for your little guy. Lights particularly UVB will be an extremely important part of their husbandry.

This is a great sheet on the best things to feed them. Generally leafy greens daily, but with a baby you'll need to do 2 protein feedings a day. Generally crickets or soft worms like phoenix/calci/bsfl. No mealworms, they can cause problems as their exoskeleton is too hard to digest.
