beauty&beast

hi! this is nikki, thanks to the people who responded and told me how to put up pictures :mrgreen:
now, me and my b/f, dave, had two toads but they died and we had the tank and water dish and some crickets so i said- let's just get a bearded dragon! we've had them for about 8 days now...
as my first post stated--> i have two baby hatchling bearded dragons! one is 4 1/2 inches long and her name is Beauty. the other one is about 5 1/2 inches long and his name is Beast. now some people might ask me how i know that the small one is female and the big one is male-- i don't! i'm just following a stereotype. they were both from the same litter so they were born at the same time and the one is soooo much bigger and wider then the other one and he's starting to develope those two glands so we call him a boy.
we have a 65 gallon tank. no we do not feed them in the tank anymore. suprisingly they are perfectly capable of running around finding food but beast is so dominant when it comes to feeding time that beauty only eats like one cricket. and when he didn't eat all the crickets put in there it was a pain getting them out at night w/ such a big tank. for the first couple days beast was eating about 7 or 8 crickets a day and beauty only one or two a day. i was worried but now that they're comfortable beast eats about 40 and beauty eats about 15.
they're eating there greens too! they're picky. beauty likes kale and beast likes collard greens. i haven't found any green that both of them will eat. and can someone tell me some good fruits to feed them b/c they're not eating any
i just ordered some silk worms though. i can't stand crickets and i live in ohio so i can 't go outside and feed the beardies all year round. i hope that they eat them and like them! i also heard that pheonix worms are good to feed them 2 or 3 times a week so i'm gonna order some of those once i see if they eat the silk worms.
since the tank is so big and there is so many bulbs we have a timer that is set for the day lights coming on at 8am and going off at 10pm so that's 14 hours day and 10 hours night. we have 4 bulbs right now. one 160 watt mercury vapor bulb for the basking area to keep it around 110, one 75 watt bulb on the other side of the tank to keep it around 80 during the day, and two blue 75 watt night bulbs- one on each side that keep the tank around 65-70 at night. the repisun 10.0 bulb for the extra uva/uvb is on its way so i didn't forget! since they're babies we don't have a cover but the highest point in the tank is the top of the tree and it's 12 inches high and the tank is 24 inches high so right now there is no chance of them jumping out.
i know that's a lot to read but for all you experienced beardie owners please tell me if i'm forgetting something or if you have any advice for me and beauty & beast!
