Hi guys,
I'm looking for opinions on these greens - I grow herbs & veggies in Aerogardens in my apartment, and these are some varieties offered in their seed kits. Their "Mesclun Mix" includes mustard greens & endive, which my dragon loves, but also adds "Tatsoi" a form of itty bitty Bok Choi from what I can gather.. This site mentions that it has a good amount of calcium: http://www.freshlink.org/TatSoiFile.html This site shows it as a derivative of bok choi: http://www.kitazawaseed.com/seeds_pak_choi.html
They also offer a second mix that contains Tatsoi, along with my boy's much-loved mustard greens, arugula, kale, and something called Mizuna - this is the only info I found on it: http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-freshdirect-mizuna-pack-i140018 In addition there is one more seed in this group, of Kamatsuna, which from the Latin name appears to be a type of turnip green: http://www.gardenzone.info/crops/komatsuna.php
I'm always on the lookout for new interesting edibles for both my dragon and myself, especially the sustainable sort! Anyone have any thoughts?
Of course just to be clear, if I were to plant these, I would also be offering live feeders, fresh veggies, & occasional fruit.
