Hi, I just picked up this girl at a local family owned Pet store. I didn't have intentions to buy one today though! I had a set up that was not being used, and Ive was thinking about getting one for awhile. Then I saw this girl and couldn't help myself but buy her. She's already a sweet heart, and great eater! She's currently in shed as well. I havent thought of a name yet soo feel free to add suggestion!

They do tend to find their way into our lives even when unexpected. She looks like she's nice and healthy. I look forward to hearing about her progress and adventures =)

It's funny how that happens! I just bought some super worms and some greens for Dorito, and decided to look around a bit. She started jumping at the glass to eat the supers, the worker told me she just ate not too long ago, so I think shes gunna be a fatty haha. She was alert, all her toes and tail, and a nice shade of orange. I was able to hold her, she wanted to run a little but mostly was relaxed when I pet her on her back.

When I brought her home, I thought I should see if she would eat. She ended up eating a bunch of crickets and was chasing them down and accurately chomping them up! I put her in her new home, decided to put some greens in to see how she'll react. Immediatly jumped down and started scarfing haha. She indeed is an eater!

Ive been trying to think all day of a name but Im hoping it just comes to me. For some reason I kept thinking Ruby or Rugby (but I think I saw that name on here and liked it!).

Thank you very much! I hope so too..So I have Dorito and Her (no name yet) in my room, and I didnt realize this, but they have a view of each other from across the room. Dorito has been in Burmation for the past month and half, so I didnt think much about it. I came home today after work and low and behold theres Dorito standing tall on his perch guns out. He started head butting and going a bit crazy when he caught eye of her! I guess thats one way to get them out of Burmation lol. Thankfully for her, she's used to seeing other beardies around due to where I got her from, plus shes a looker.

But in the mean time i put black paper on Doritos cage to obstruct his view so she can get settled in, in peace. (although he's still searching for her and bobbing away acting macho)

It was a sight, I snapped chatted a video but I think I forgot to save it

So I may have an idea for a name..I started to play a little of Assassins Creed Synicate, andd the female main character's name is Evie, and it sort of seems fitting in a weird way

That's a very pretty name, it could definitely fit well.

Thanks! So I gave her the first bath today. She was a bit spazzy on the pick up, once I get her and pet her she seems to calm. Then she doesnt want you to let her go lol. She instantly started drinking up the water, and then I let her down but she was a little freaked out. She ended up poopin in a couple minutes, so I picked her up and dried her off. Pretty successful first bath!

In the meantime, Dorito was able to catch a glimpse of her in the bath, and he looked generally curious for awhile, until the end he started bobbing and going a bit crazy over her again haha.

Soo its been a week! It's been interesting and fun. I've forgot about the perils of raising a baby beardy. She's a bit more sassy than Dorito was haha. She likes to open her mouth when I touch her, as to say back off buddy. She will run for a bit but when I pick her up she's easy to handle. So Im just trying to get her used to this giant monster (me) who keeps annoying her haha. She's still in shed, and I have yet to see her not in shed so its kind of exciting for the anticipation of her full shed. Oh and I think im sticking with the name Evie. I think haha

heres some pics from today (getting a little fatter too, eats like a champ!)

Oh and here's Dorito at his first Vet exam. He wasn't a happy camper haha. Poor guy went thru a lot but he was awesome!

Your babies are so gorgeous! Congrats :) Do you ever have any troubles keeping track of them when they're out of their tanks? I'm always worried mine is going to get lost or jump the bed or get into something she shouldn't, I just got her as well and am going to be begin handling her in a few days (she's a rescue and needed time to settle) and I'm just hoping I don't mess up lol

Thank you very much! I dont take both out at the same time, due to male and female. Yes both of them when they are young (2-6 months) tend to be a bit jumpy. They both have taken the leap of faith off a couch or bed haha. They will calm down over time. Just be firm and anticapate the moves the best you can. I almost forgot how tricky it can be, because dorito now just hangs out no worries.

Some pics after the shed! Shes starting to be a little more trusting now, hand feed her some small horn worms seems to help.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
