I'm going to begin construction on my beardie's new home so I was hoping for some suggestions/approvals. I know recommended dimensions are 48"x24"x24" but sadly I don't have that kind of space so I was going to make it approximately 44"L x 20"W x 24"H out of sanded birch plywoo,d possibly 1/2" around a 1"x2" frame. Since its going to be 24"H I will install a t5 bulb.

If that's the space you have it's what you have. 48x24x24 is a convenient size based on standard plywood - I think that's why its popular. If you have room to go up, they do use vertical space if it's furnished with climbing surfaces.

3/4" works well without a frame. It's simpler anyway and still very sturdy.

I look forward to seeing your build!

Not if you pre-drill them. You can also get iron on veneer to finish the edges to look like a solid board.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
