New dubia set up w/ pics 10/31

Brandon, I was surprised that there was no change. I guess I'll give it more time. I only have roughly 85 Females, 10 males.

About 6 months ago I made a similar setup as in the vid you posted , just used egg boxes instead of what they're using, I started out with 300 females and 150 males and fed them loads of veggies while keeping the temp at around 30 degrees, now after 6 months I have around 11 kilo's of dubia's roughly 15000 of them.. and only 3 beardies atm to feed them to haha. So I would say this setup works really well in the long run.

I changed my dubia bin back to original. Wasn't producing any different number of babies. On top of that, I found 6 adult females dead yesterday . These are the first dead since I started my colony in March.

I'm going to have to try the CHE on the screen for mine...I woudn't have thought about doing that! I have a temp regulator too that I can use to make sure that things are all right.

I've used one since I started. Works great on temps.

I switched back to the set up, and great improvements. I cleaned out the colony twice this week and wow. I had to do a cleaning so Summer would have babies to eat before I left on vacation and then I did it again today. I got well over 3,000 babies this week. We have decided to let the 3,000 mature into adults in their own separate bin. I will have lots soon... . Never knew I could be so exited over bugs!

Last time I checked, it was 150 females, 20 Males. This was about a month ago

Hmm.. I am pretty sure I have around that amount of females, but no where near the production rates.

I guess I will do a sorting today.

I lowered my temps recently, maybe that is a reason? I have no idea...

I recently changed my lamp from summer's tank to my dubia bin. It has a dimmer on it. Right now, its 88.6 and at night its around 83-85. I put my 60w che on about 75% power.

I am going to go measure my temps and humidity lol.

I have never checked my humidity inside the bin, so no idea what it is at.
