hello

i just pick up 2 year old dragon and his tank .the tank was sand in i want take sand out but my wife is said leave in . i read stories and saidsand is bad for retiles plz help old lady is drive me nuts . tank is 36 gal will post picture soon

Don't really think type matters, All of it can cause impaction. Best thing to do is take it out and use repticarpet, papertowels, newspapers, tile, or shelf liner to line the tank!! Good luck with your new beardie!!

Show your wife the pictures of tiled enclosures from the enclosure section. In my opinion sand is tacky in comparison. Or you can just tell her if it is play sand she has to be the one to wash it 1-2 times a month minimally 2-3 times to ensure it is sanitary.

You can use natural stone tile, repti carpet, non adhesive shelf liner, paper towels and or newspaper. :wink:

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
