New dragon going to bed very early

So I got my first dragon 5 days ago and everything mostly great. He's about 2 months old and 6 inches long. However I am a little worried about how early he gets ready for bed and how late he stays in his spot in the morning. It usually can take up to 3 hours past lights on for him to move out of his spot and he gets ready for bed 3 hours before lights off! Between these times he is quite active and runs around his entire enclosure so he isn't lethargic all day thankfully. Right now I have his lights turning on at 7am and going off at 9pm so it's 14 hours on and 10 off.

He needs to settle in --- hes going to go thru relocation stress so keep in mind his eating will slow down but he should not quit eating all together --- if you want we can go over the lighting set up in the tank to make sure you are using stuff that is going to be beneficial to him -- if you want to post pics of him and his tank and lighting that would be great

Here is a picture of him getting ready to sleep in his spot and pictures of my tank I built that is 4x2x2 feet. I'm using a 34in reptisun t5 10.0 bulb down the middle and a heat bulb on a dimmer on the right. Temps in the hot area are 100-110 and temps in the cool area are around 77. And yes he isn't eating a lot but is slowly starting to eat more and more. I'm using mostly crickets now since my dubia colony wasn't quite ready. He was only eating maybe 5-8 crickets a day for the first 2 days or so but today and yesterday he ate around 15.

Cool looking tank - :) the fixture you have the UVB in has a reflector on it? And the basking bulb looks different - most on here recommend a bright white basking bulb-- he looks very comfy-- and its good he has picked up his eating -- are you feeding salads as well besides the bugs?

Yes the fixture has a reflector on it. And yeah that is a heat lamp bulb that I already had so I thought it would work, he uses it no problem. Should I get a brighter bulb even though the temps are fine? I do put salads out every day and he sparingly will eat them. Usually a mixture of collard greens, asparagus, green peppers, maybe a little mango.

I don't know if the bulb would make a difference in the going to bed early- is he pooping ok? I would lay off the asparagus- there is a nutrition website on the feeding board visit that ignore the kale thing it's a good staple feeder--- you need to get him some worms to lure him to the salad bowl- you will need a glass or ceramic bowl- order some BSFL or also known as nutri grubs calci worms and Phoenix worms- you can switch him over to dubias-- better nutrition and they last longer- you can keep them in a 10 gallon aquarium and feed them dubia food carrots for hydration- and squash- you can order from here www.dubiaroaches.com order large BSFL do not dust them and feed as many as you want they are a good staple feeder--- you can also order butterworms Horn worms they are a good hydrating worm.they grow fast so order small amounts- he might be able to eat medium super worms - another good worm is silk and they too are another staple you can get them from here www.reptilianarts.com if you order in bulk like 50 they come small make sure you get food too you will need to feed them and clean containers out daily- www.coastilsilkworms.com
www.mukberryfarms.com
Use 1-3 worms - make sure you add them to salad bowl in front of him the movement will entice him to the bowl

Yes he poops once a day. I will stop using the asparagus and try the worms on the salad as I already have a bowl for his salad. I got crickets with him when I bought him so I am only using those up until they are gone, I already have a 20 gallon dubia colony to use after that but right now I am using a variety of crickets and dubias every day. Thank you for the information!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
