new dragon...crazy colors...better pics....again.

I am not seeing the colors either.. some cameras do dull the color.. but its looking like a normal bearded right now..

im sorry i know i sound crazy but there really is color! im trying to get my 5megapixel to work but ir refuses to!!! i know that im not crazy! the color under his tail is the same color he turns in the morning when he is basking and it was night when i took those. but you should be able to see the color under his tail!
i guess I'll just stop trying to prove it

Not too be crass, but could that be poop on his tail? Mine looks like that when he drags his tail through poop and it dries. If you soak him in water and gently swab that area with a towel, I bet it comes off.

On the same note, my sis though her 2 month old had a birthmark on her butt. Turns out it was dry poop. :shock: Same theory.

to get true color pics, take him outside in natural daylight and try again

The pics are 'peach tone' or something. The dragon, the floor, the background, etc. is all peach....
Judging from those pics it just looks like either stains, or just a slight yellow-green tint that somehow shows a bit in the 'peach' tone of the pics.

:-/ From the first posts it sounded like your dragon had alot of bright teal/turqiouse in him (like the coloring of the water dragon I posted)... not just some hints of yellowy-greenish.
But generally his colors look like a 'normal'. But get better pics... like said already, take the pics outside they come out better too.

Just looked back at the pics... in the first pic, The little bit of yellowy speckling thats on the dragons, I also see it on the floor and even the cabinets... Looks almost like just the peach-toned camera registers some areas as a yellowy-green color that arent even there.

if hes taken outside it may work better. or put on something darker. to me the tail looks dirty.. like mine do when they play in their poo.. but their might be something we cant see because of the color of the pic

okay look. its not a stain and its not the camera. this was taken with a 5.0 megapixel in natrual light on a red quilt to make it stand out. this is only the patch under his tail when he his under his heat lamp basking he will turn the same color from his shoulders al the way down. ill try to get a pic of that later.

closer up you can tell that the lines aare way to defined and clean to be a stain.

and what kind of substrate was he on in the pet store?

at the pet store they just had a plastic bottom. and hes on white calci-sand over hear but hes never been wet on it. it been there since i got him

thats going to shed soon. It will all be the lighter color.

I agree with nomad. it looks like hes shedding in sections. mine usually turn a gray color on top or yellow on the bottom though..
