new dragon...crazy colors...better pics....again.

sorry about the misleading title. if you thought that there were pics in here their arnt :?
anyway. some of you may know about the whole Atilla thing (R.I.P little dude ) so me and my mom decided after that whole thing we would just get a older, bigger dragon cause the little ones are WAY to sensitive. so we went to a really great petstore that specializes in exotics and found my new dragon, Sid. he used to be part of a breeding trio but someone bought all his lady friends so we decided he could use some companionship. he is about 1-3 years old and 12inches without tail.
heres the "crazy" part. the bottom half of his tail is BLUE/GREEN. bright too.
and when he starts basking under his heat light his body turns the same greenish blue. is that very normal for a dragon? He also has a gold iris in his eyes. Ive heard they darken up when their basking but green? haha
ill post some pics soon so i dont sound insane lol.

Just with your discription, it doesnt sound at all like a beardie! It sounds like this other breed I looked up a few days ago... Hmm..

Hmmm sounds cool, but as far as I know there aren't any beardies with actual blue or green on them. There's some blueish tint to sidebars in some... but yea please post pics. I'm curious.
Maybe it's a chinese water dragon? I dont know much about them, but I think they can be brownish with blue/green in them. My sister has one but I never saw him cause she lives far.

I've seen beardies with a green tint, but never blue/green, and definitely not on the undercarriage! :lol:

I have never heard of this either.. post some pics soon so we can see. usually they have mostly white or light underside. and the top can be a pale green.. but not blue green or bright.. never saw that..

Do you not have a camera yet? If you know a friend with a digital cam see if you can borrow theres... If he is, in fact a teal-colored beardie (though for obvious reasons none of us are gonna believe it til we see pics ) is it possible that the pet store dyed him somehow...
I know they make dog hair dye :roll:
Or perhaps food coloring? See if the coloration stays with his next shed...

But yea please post pics soon.... ;-p and no photoshopping either...

I feed him 2 boxes of crayola a week.

well this isnt photoshop i swear on my life. i dont know how to do that anyway haha
this is the green under his tail. my camera dosnt really do justice to its bright-ness but you can get a pretty good idea. its been like that since i got him and ive given him several baths so i know its not just a stain or somthing

way brighter than depicted.

this is his eye. i heard somwhere that a golden iris is a weird trait. either way i think its just cool

and finaly each of those tiles is exactly 1ft long so theres his size.

aaand thats about it. opinions?

The photos might as well be in black & white! What green? What blue? I dont even see gold.. :/
