Hi
I'm new here and read through a good bit of the posts and couldn't find an answer. I recently built a custom 6'x3'x2' tank for my beardie. When he was in his 20 long he would allow us to put our hand in and he would crawl up on it and we could take him out. When feeding him in the 20 long we would just take out his furniture and pour in the crickets, remove what he didn't eat and replace the furniture
In his new location removing the furniture isn't an option and I don't feel comfortable feeding the crickets in there. I'm concerned he won't find them plus I don't want to leave them in there overnight. Short of climbing in the tank and tackling him  I'm having issues getting him out. I have taken him out twice to feed him the feeder tank but it wasn't pretty. I broke a sweat :|
Richard is 6 months old. There are three basking areas 102 96 89. Cool side is 77 with gradients all in between. He has a reptisun 10.0. He gets fresh veggies daily. Collard greens squash cucumbers and carrots occasionally, and he's eating them. He has 4 different caves for hides and it's multi level. He has been in the tank now for 6 days. Aside from the first 24 hours he showed normal behavior. The first day he hid in one of the caves but that was it.
I don't know if it's ok to feed him crickets in the new tank and stop worrying or should I continue to chase him to get him out. He hates me all of a sudden !
