:roll: Ok let me get this straight, you are buying a new dragon because your perfectly healthy normal beardie isnt yellow and you wanted a yellow one. First off just cause the dragon is yellow now doesnt mean its gonna keep its color. Ive bought a yellow citrus for 35 at a show cause breeder said she is a normal dragon, well 2 years latter she is bright orange and one of the most colorful dragons i have and the cheapest. Have you ever herd the saying "Dont judge a book by its cover". There is now way i could get rid of one of my dragons because its not the right color, n i have 15 of them not counting all the babies n eggs. I feel sorry for your dragons for not knowing what love is.

Couldn't have said it better, wouldn't be suprised if a year down the road we see the new little guy up for sale because he didn't keep his color either.

You wanted a "better" one? Aside from looks, what makes this beardie any better than the one you have? Will you just sell this guy when you find an even "better" one?

Can you explain what a better dragon is ? I look at it this way, my dragons are like my kids would you get rid of your child cause it had a deformity. If you cant find anyone for your not colorfull niped dragon i give you all the stuff and pay for shipping so i can show him what true loving care is.

You do realize how stressful it is for any animal to be rehomed right? You haven't even had him for 2 months and your already getting rid of him because of his color, If you wanted a yellow one, than why didn't you buy a yellow one in the first place?

It's like I said in an older post, this is exactly why I hate pet stores, especialy large chain stores like Petsmart, anyone can just walk in and as long as they have the money, make an impulse purchase, than a few months down the road when the novelty wears of they find themself something new and just dispose of the old. They don't take the time to think the decision through before they make it, and it usualy results in the animal suffering, be it, stress from being rehomed, or just the owners ignorance, not knowing how to properly care for it before they made the decision to buy it... Disgusting.

I hope you find him a really good home.

I feel the exact same way. I'm just about sick thinking what would happen if I had to give up one of mine (pretty sure I would give up a limb before I gave up any of my babies, and they are babies to me). Send your baby to Renee (and if you can afford a $300 dragon, why don't you just pay to have yours shipped to her?) and she will live a good life.

EDIT: Okay... I have to be honest. I think what you're doing is kinda wrong, and mean towards your current dragon? Don't you love her and won't you miss her? (sorry if it's a boy). What happens if the one you get isn't as friendly, or isn't as healthy. There really isn't any reason to do this. I mean I would LOVE a trans, but I'm not allowed to have anymore pets , but I wouldn't give away either of mine to get it. If I'm allowed/finicially able to get another awesome, but I would never trade mine for another, their like my family. Just expressing my feelings. I have a feeling this is gonna get locked. But sincerely, I hope your new dragon has a long healthy, happy life with you.

I got my beardie at Petsmart(the one near me is actually fairly decent,semi-knowledgable staff), couldn't imagine giving him away just because he's a petstore dragon that isn't a famous bloodline. :?

Ah well, some people just want a display animal. I wanted a beardie so I could have a friend to look after that doesnt judge me. :3

Wow, you guys are being kind of harsh. Not everyone will be happy with every pet they ever get, there is nothing wrong with rehoming a pet you don't want/can't care for proper.
Personally, I rehomed a dragon I wasn't fond of when I got Jupiter. Do I love my dragons? Yes I do but not like my children and not like my dogs. Many people keep reptiles and they don't take it to the level that many members on here do. If the OP find a good home for the dragon, why should you really care? Its not like the dragon is going to feel abandoned.
