yea low wattage,question for a 10 gallon tank what wattage you suggest? 45 or 60?

It's hard to say, probably a 40 watt. You have to check the temps with either a temperature gun or a digital probe thermometer that has a long wire as those are the only ways to get good readings.

Just check the temps with a digital thermometer. I would start on the lower and then check after about 30 min.
