My beardie adventure started with Spike/Bubbies. Bubbies passed last week due to being egg bound, but she brought with her a love for dragons that will ever go away!
A couple months ago I adopted two more beardies from a friend at work who could no longer care for them.
Then this past Tuesday a friend showed up at my work with another beardie for me to adopt. She got it from someone who dropped it off with her. A slight ironic note: It was a year ago (July) I adopted Bubbies, last Tuesday I discovered Bubbies when I got home from work and rushed her to the vet and she passed on the way, this past Tuesday is when my friend showed up with the new beardie that just happens to look and remind me alot of Bubbies, and the same friend that brought me this new beardie also brought me Bubbies! She said she instantly thought of me when the guy dropped it off with her.

So now I have 3 beardies (for the time being  ), until I get more, and I need to figure out their sex and decide on some names. Now, I have looked up and seriously studied the pictures and information about sexing through here and other resources, but I am still a bit unsure, and definitely need some help with one of my little friends who has been deformed since hatching.

Below you will find some pics and maybe some info. Please help me out if you can about the sex and if you have any thoughts on names.
I like the name Deisel for one of the males. I want to stay away from what seems to be popular names: Spike, Godzilla, etc.

We'll start with the one I call "Little Dudette". This is the one who is a bit deformed in the back end area, making sexing a bit hard.
After comparing the photos I say it's a female, what do you think?

Next is the other little one I got with the one above.
Again, after comparing pics I would say this one is a female. What do you think?

Finally we come to the most recent one I got just this past Tuesday:
I say this one is male? No female...LOL I don't know... the more I compare, the more I get confused. And, go figure that after I gave him a bath he poo'ed and then walked through it - perfect for pics!

Well... it seems as though I my not have a Deisel, or I will have to name a female Deisel.
So tell me what ya think and if you have name suggestions.
Thanks!!

lol... I spent two hours yesterday morning bathing/soaking each of them. Cleaning them up, letting them soak, and then spent some time holding each of them.
When I decide I want to take pics, thats when they decide to poo and track through it  boogers!!

If more pictures are needed I can take more!
As you can see it's not as easy as you would think, and those aren't the only pics I have taken. They move so much it's hard to get a good pic!

That is what I was kind of originally thinking as well (female, male, female). Again it is a bit hard to tell, and I began questioning their sex more and more based on a couple of things: when I adopted the first two, I was told that the grey one (first pics) was male and the little orange one (second pics) was female, but when they were in the same tank the little orange one would bob its head and jump on the little grey one making me think it was the other way around. Now I don't know too much about their behaviors as far as mating and such as I am just starting to dive into educating myself on that subject, but first thought would make you think that because of the behavior the orange one is male and grey one is female. Then when you compare them with photos for sexing it gets even more confusing!

And then with the bigger one (last pics), I was told when I got it that it was male, but again when you compare with the sexing photos it looks more like the female... oh this is so confusing lol.

Here are the pics I used for comparing:
The first two were found here at beardeddragon.org

This other one I don't remember the site, but I did a search through yahoo pics for sexing bearded dragons:

I see female, male and third one I can't disifer at the angle of the raised tail photo, but if based on the pours I would guess female, but the male has small pours too. but two definately has testies(forgive me if I can't say that on here)

I see Female, male, male (total guess from the pictures). The pictures are hard to tell though. The pores don't really help decipher as much as I normally see, but they look good.

So I am feeling more confused on what they could definitley be.

Here is what we have so far:
Beardie One: 2 male / 4 female
Beardie Two: 4 male / 2 female
Beardie Three: 5 female / 1 male

I think I am going to try and take better pictures tomorrow, post those and see what we come up with then. Besides the two views of the bottom area, what else would be good to point out? Like does the head shape and size really play a role in deciding the sex? What else can I take a picture of to get clearer views? What about behavior; If I say put them in the tub together to see how they act in the presence of the others, is there anything in their behavior that will help with sexing?

Not really. My female acts like a male and has more prominent spikes than my male, although my male does have a bigger head than my female. My female is more aggressive than my male, so I don't think that those signs will totally help you. :?

Can't wait to see the new pictures, maybe that will settle this once and for all!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
