Well this has been an eye opening morning. My new beardie has firued out how to get out of the temporary viv that I set up for her. I lost my Roxi recently ad rescued Cera. We named her Cera after the triceratops in the movie Land Before Time. She has shown us a tenacious, in charge type personality already and today has shown how smart she is. The door on her new viv is made with plexiglass and held closed with heavy duty tape and pressure on the bottom edge from a spring loaded door front. I came into the living room and the first thing I noticed was a very nice dragon poop on the floor. It took a few seconds to register what it was and that it meant Cera was out roaming. We have three cats and my reaction was fear for her. Found her, put her back in the viv and closed up everything, assuming that I had left the drawer down. With a big sigh of relief that she was fine, I went back to my chores. Came back five minutes later to find she had pushed the plexiglass out hard enough to move the door front open and down. She was sitting on it, looking very pleased with herself. She is currently on time out in a large vented tub while I redo the viv door. She is a dragon Houdini and the permanent viv I make this spring will have to be escape proof and very interesting to keep her challenged.
