New Beardie Owner Help have coccidia and pinworms bad

Hello my daughter got a 7 - 8 month old Beardie for Christmas 2016 we have been told it was a male and a female so clueless on sex but we call him Jupiter. We have him in a 40 gallon breeder tank with a reptisun 10 T8 and a double dome with a 65 watt spot and a 65 watt halegaon the cool side is about 74 and basking is about 100-102 and outher side is 87-92. Well any way his appitite is great eating turnip greens and acorn squash along with dubia roaches and some super worms sprinkled with calicum and a little bee pollen. I also have a cuddle bone incase he wants a little more. When we got him his stool was smelly but in the past
Two weeks it is so bad so I called all bets in area and there was only one who would do a fecal on him so we went on Friday and was positive for coccidia and pinworms so she
gave us albon .05 for 10 days but got nothing for the pinworms I was wondering if I should get the panacur on my own and treat for those or what because she wanted to give it an injection of ivermectin but I declined. Anyway we have him on newspaper and took everything out but his hide and water dish and cedar log he basks on although I used a 1 to 10 part bleach and water solution to clean everything like the vet said but was wandering if that will kill the coccidia and pinworms or
What about buying a steamer cause ive seen that too. I just need some help because I also read about probiotics and our pet store does not carry it so should I use plain soy yogart or what please
Advice is extremely needed because also nervous about him getting yellow fungus too. He is such a sweetie so need help for him please and thanks for

Hi Carol, Jupiter is very pretty, if you want I can probably sex him/her. Just post a few pics of the rear end while you arch the tail up high , like a dog that is excited.

It's good that you passed on the Ivermectin shot, those can be dangerous for beardies ! Hopefully the Albon will get rid of the coccidia. If not , you can order Baycox here....it usually works in 2-3 days.

Pinworms should be treated with Panacur, but you might wait until the coccidia is cleared. If the pinworm count wasn't high, the vet may have decided not to treat it. I believe you can get Panacur from the same site I listed above.

And steam cleaners are highly recommended for cleaning.

You might want to get rid of the cedar -- it's toxic to reptiles.

Otherwise I can't offer much advice about the parasites other than to follow your vet's recommendations or those of the other more expert people on this website. Parasitic infections usually seem to clear up fairly well with medications, as well as paying attention to cleanliness as you are already doing.

Meanwhile, he (or she) looks good -- beautiful, in fact -- very pretty colors.

Looks like a probable female, but post again in a month to see if there's any difference. A very small percentage can look like female for a long time and actually show the hemipene bulges later but I'm pretty sure it's a female. Sometimes if you take the same pic but twist the tail very slightly it will show differently.
