New Beardie...new tank?

Hello all. As you may know, My daughter lost her beardie (Bandit) last week. She has been feverishly researching and learning more and more about bearded dragons. Well a friend learned about Bandit's passing and contacted us because he had two dragons he thought were females, but turns out one male one female. They had babys. He sold and gave away all of them but one that he was saving for his neice. But turns out she no longer wants it. It is 7 months old now. So... we still don't really know for sure what happened to Bandit or why he passed in 4 days of noticing him being lethargic. We think it might have been a heat issue (not hot enough temp in the larger tank--75 gallon). I got a new thermometer with a probe and found out the temp was only high 80s and not sure how long it had been that way :-(. My question is do you think I should be worried about the same tank being used. I guess I am worried about exposing him to something since Bandit died in this tank. Thoughts? My daughter has been devastated by his passing and I want to do everything in my power to avoid this happening again. Thanks for any thoughts.

If I had money to blow I would get a whole new setup for piece of mind including lights and interior items. But if strapped for cash I would use a broad spectrum cleaner multiple times. For instance I would clean the enclosure with a 10 percent bleach and water solution. Let stand thirty minutes. Rinse. If possible I would set the enclosure out in the sun for an afteenoon. Next day I would repeat and rinse. For the third cleaning I would use something like f10 cleaner or steamer. I would not bother cleaning existing branches or basking spot items. I would replace these. If you do not have a reptile vet try to find one. You could call their office and explain your situation indicating that you are a potential client getting ready to house a new dragon in a former dragon's enclosure. Hopefully some other people will respond. I feel like this may be overkill but I'm paranoid about contagions.

I forgot to say that I'm sorry for your loss. I remember the day my first dragon Spike died. I kept her cage. Can't part with it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
