I just got my two Beardies today

Male - 7 grams named Clover - a Hypo Translucent Leather
Female - 53 grams Honeysuckle - a Double Het Italian Leather

Female chowed down on her food today when she got home. But the Male wants nothing to do with food. (Prob stress from the switch to a new home)

Both lovely colors! I have to ask, I've only recently learned of the 'leather' back Beardies. Why are they called this? Are they softer/lacking spikes?
