New Beardie Gender Confusion

After the death of one of my beloved beardies, I decided to get a new one. I didn't want a baby/juvenile this time so instead I looked to getting an adult. Long story short, I finally ended up buying one off craigs list and this afternoon I drove an hour away from my house to pick up the big guy. Or gal. That's the thing. He (what I am assuming for now) is a year and a half old and from what I understand at this point I should definitely be able to determine his sex. The guy who I got him from said he thought he was a boy but wasn't exactly sure. Since at this point I am ignorant of his exact gender I have yet to name him because I would like him to have one that coincides with whether he is a male or female. However I do have a couple of names in mind :twisted: .

Before I show you pictures of his butt.... Here are some normal pictures of him. Pretty low quality though so you can't see all of his coloring. I don't know if you can see it in the first picture but he has a kind of lavender coloring on his back.

Him dwarfing my tree. Will probably remove it since it takes up too much space and is useless to him.

So in order to sooner get his gender determined and then his name I have some pictures here that I took tonight. They are not the best quality one could ask for but they are the best for now. Tomorrow I might post some better ones in case it is too hard to tell due to the bad lighting.

Oh sure! I kind of forgot what position to hold them in order to be able to tell the best. I'll post it tomorrow since right now my beardie is sleeping and I don't want to stress him out.

Well here's the best I could do. I wouldn't say he wasn't cooperative but he was kind of annoyed at his tail being messed with and the pictures are from my cell phone so they might not be so clear.

Kinda looks like a male, but still hard to tell with those pics. You don't have to get so close. If you back up a bit, the pictures should be more focused. Also, you can pull the tail back a little bit more. Don't hurt him obviously, but pull back a bit further to get those bumps to really pop out. Thanks for the help. The first time I was a little afraid of going too far since from what I am told this beardie has a reputation for being aggressive but he was a complete angel.

I know the pictures are still bad quality but from what I can tell myself he looks like a male.
