New beardie (and beardie owner!)

Hi everyone. Just joined this forum after getting my first bearded dragon about a week ago... we've temporarily nicknamed 'him' "Meep" per my 5-year-old step-daughter's suggestion until we can be sure of the gender (he's only a couple months old). I don't have a photobucket account yet so I can't post pics but he's absolutely gorgeous, both in appearance and personality. I've been taking him out in the evening after his light goes out and last night he actually cuddled up in the crook of my arm and fell asleep. I just about melted!

Anyway i look forward to meeting everyone on this forum, and learning more about these fascinating animals.

Love seeing new owners! I'm not that experienced myself (My Beardie is only 9 months or so) but I have learned A LOT. Don't be afraid to ask anything! First time owners tend to flinch at every little thing, but you never know! He sounds adorable and I love the name "Meep" Beardies are such sweethearts if you treat them right. Yeah, I was on this site quite a bit those first few days every time he did, well, anything... Making sure it was normal, making sure i was doing things right... I think I've got the hang of things a bit now, or at the very least I don't panic every time he blinks weird.

He's purdy! and yeah,most bearded dragons fare really well, chances are things he does are all normal ^-^

Thank you! He's super fun too... if a bit of a danger to himself. I thought he'd be safe enough if I just kept him away from heights but today he managed to sprint headfirst into a wall. Twice... I think he gets excited about the whole being able to RUN thing but hasn't quite learned how to use the breaks yet.

haha, My Beardie did that too when she was little. I'd hope he doesn't hit his head too hard until he grows out of it.

for some reason this happens w/ white a lot.. mine is 9 months on Tuesday and still runs into things..
