new bearded dragon owner

hey everybody i am CJ (i am a girl) lol people always ask what gender i am lol... but anyway i am getting a beardie tomorrow and i was wondering if you have any tips!! thanx :wave:


i also have some questions like is it okay to hold them, do they bite and does it hurt, can they last in a 10gal tank for about 2 weeks

how large is the dragon your getting?
they usually should be in at least a 20 gallon.
your going to eventually need a 40 gallon.
if you want to spoil it a 60 gallon would be perfect for its whole life.
the age depends on how much you should hold it.
they do bite if there threatened but if heard they puff up there beards first and hiss at you.
yes it hurts...alot. they can take chunks out of you and how hard they bite depends on how mad you make them. but dont be afraid. there loving and awesome. just pet it and talk to it. youll be fine. im a new owner as well but im doing ok.

yeah i know that they should be in a 20 gal at least but i plan on getting a 55 in 2 weeks so...and he is about 6 inches and i just got him today!!!

awesome, and congratz on the new dragon. im new as well but i would think that size cage should be fine. for a short period of time.
