New Bearded Dragon Cage Help!!!

Ok guys i got a new bearded dragon!!! I named him/her Teemo! so i have another one also! i put my older one in a 55 gallon aquarium.....So im putting Teemo in a 30 gallon tank....but i dont have a reptisun 10.0 bulb cause it didnt work when i got home....and i cant go back to petstore till after christmas.....But i have a Powersun uvb/uva 100 watt bulb...will that work till then? Teemo is really small.....so please let me know! thanks so much!

Hey there,

take a deep breath and relax for a sec.Now then, The Power sun is an mvb bulb and emits both UVB UVA and heat. I struggled with lighting and now have:
100 w basking bulb and dome - not used
100 w night light and dome - not used
ceramic heat emitter for when temps get to low at night - used sometimes
a repti Sun 10.0 still in its packaging as im using the
power sun 100 w in a deep dome placed on top of the screen of the exo terra.
Closest he can get is about 8 inches at the highest point, 10 -12 inches in his usual basking spot.

The power sun will work just fine, just make sure you keep it at least 8-12 inches away so it doesn't hurt his eyes.
the power sun eliminated the stress marks my beardie had when i was using the 100 watt basking and zilla coil combo which i later found out was a terrible idea.

Beardies can go a few days without UVB, and the jury is still out on whether the Powersun MVB bulbs are a good choice, it's pretty much split 50/50.

hey sorry my response is so late....but i cant pick up another bulb cause they shut down our petsmart where i live so its a 2 hr drive to the closest one but i will pick one up on the 26th or 27th
