hi first of all im new to the forum so hello everyone!

so i just got a new baby beardie from PetSmart a week ago
the first few days i dump the crickets into its viv, and it ate some
but in the later few days it slowly stopped eating
i tried to feed it through a thong but it wont bite; even appeared to be scared of the crickets
then i tried waxworms, no response
it doesn't touch the veggie in its bowl neither (i add a little appetite promoter in it but it still doesn't eat it)

it doesn't really leave its basking spot btw
i check the temperature everyday, and the temp. of basking spot is ~110.C and temp. of hide spot is ~ 80.C
the humidity is ~40-50%

i dont think it's showing any sign of lethargy or sickness
it wakes up/sleeps regularly everyday
it poops normally everyday (even though it hasn't eat for 3 days, so puzzling!)
occationally it curls up its tail and jumps on the glass
it looks perfectly healthy but it just wont eat, and it's making me worried

Sounds like relocation stress to me too. Also, congrats on your new baby and welcome aboard! Everyone on this site is super awesome and helpful, and the info on here won't steer you wrong :)

thx :)

it runs around more often now so i guess the relocating stress is fading
i find my beardie prefers to hunt on its own (maybe the thong confuses it
and i think i also find the reason why it doesnt eat often is because im giving it oversized crickets :/
just learned about the "eye length rule" and found out the crickets that pet store people recommend are way too huge
just started giving it baths too, seems to like it (i think :/

it still spends all its time at the basking spot though (not rly basking, just chilling there

Yeah my beardie that I just got last week was not eating a lot either. Especially if I was in the room. Try dropping some crickets in the tank and then leaving the room and coming back to see if it's hunting. Just don't leave any in there overnight and don't put in too many since you will need to take them out.

Now that it's been over week my Eve will hand feed so I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
