So i just became the next tendent of a small old apartment. I am very happy but before i move in, and before i move the dragons in i need to get rid if the cigarette smell out. If it is not good for me, it is really not good for my dragons. Anyone know how to get out the smell? There is carpet, tile and wood floors. I was planning on scrubbing the walls but it has wall paper so i am not sure if i can really scrub the walls that well. Any ideas?

If you can get your hands on an ozone machine (not sure exactly where you would get this but if you could find it.... ) they work wonders for not only removing the smell but cleaning the air.

I use them all the time at work. And unless its really bad, 1 hour long treatment should do the trick.

If you can't, you will need to deep clean the carpet, and depending on the type of ceiling in the place, you will have to do something about that. Popcorn textured ceilings tend to absorb the smoke smell the best, which makes it a pain when trying to clean a smell such as cigarettes out of a room.
As for the wallpaper, that's iffy. I wouldn't scrub it unless you can actually smell the smoke in the wallpaper. The wallpaper could absorb whatever you are scrubbing into it which could damage the adhesive behind it causing it to bubble or completely come off.

When we moved in our house one room smelled terribly like smoke. We tried everything then someone recommended a large bowl of vinegar in the room with doors/windows closed for a day. It worked, although I vacated the house because the s,ell of vinegar makes me vomit, but no more smoke!

Clean the complete apartment first, open all the doors and windows. After cleaning use room fresheners.I thought this will solve your problem.

My hubby recently had a heart attack. We were AVID smokers. What I found to work was baking soda. I used it to wash anything that could be washed and put several boxes in every room. I left the boxes out for 2 weeks, and then got new and did it again. I am told by non smokers now that they smell no smoke in my house. Good luck

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
