Ok so I just rescued a beardie that my friend could no longer care for. He is a male about 13 inches long. He is a nice size. Anyways I have a female that is considerably smaller than the male I just rescued. Of course I have them in seperate tanks but because of space they can kind of see eatchother. The tanks are perpendicular. Bella (my female) I am worried about, she is much smaller. She seems a little shy, but after a while of watching her, she is doing a little head bob and then several arm waves with both arms. Crupi (the new, bigger male) just sits there. He is a bit more aggressive, as his owner did not give him the attention he needs. He just ate like 12 large superworms, and finally wont lunge at my hand as soon as it enters his viv. Any tips for introducing them? I am mostly worried that my girl (Bella) will get stressed and stop eating, basking, etc. I want them both to be happy and get along. I will never keep them together but if all goes well would like to breed these two.. Does anyone have any tips that would help them live near eatchother? Also to get the new male to warm up to me a little?

P.S. Also, Bella, who normally never has stress marks, has them now.
Also just a note that the husbandry is good, both good temps, reptisuns, etc. I must note that the male is on sand which he has been doing fine on for quite some time.. Thanks!

Just being able to see each other will cause stress, especially on your female. You may want to block their view for now and ease into that situation a little slower. Make it a more gradual introduction and not so sudden. I don't think she'll stop eating or basking but you never know, she is definitely nervous if she is doing the slow downward head bob followed by the arm wave and walking around unsettled as she does it. She doesn't want him to hurt her and she probably feels a threat.

You'll have to work with him slowly, it may take some time. I doubt he'll ever be as calm and sweet as your other one. Sometimes its just their personality, not how they were raised. I have dragons that were raised side by side and one still ends up being a brat.

Okay I moved the tanks away from each other. Now Bella, my first female is back to acting normal. The new one Crupi, whom I now think is a female. Since I got her full she calmed down a lot. I think she is dealing with a bit of relocation stress. We will see. The new one didn't eat much today and kinda lounged around. I introduced them today and Bella was more curious than the other. This may be because crupi, the rescue, may have early stage mbd. He/she was shaking it's head like a seizure and closing it's eyes a lot because the previous owner had a reptiglo coil. Now I got him/her a reptisun. Today is day two of that. So she maybe didn't care about Bella because of the stress. normally crupi is pretty agressive around eating it seems the previous owner didn't feed enough.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
