Hi! So I have a full grown bearded dragon who is very healthy and active. He just woke up from his hibernation thing and he is eating like crazy just as I remember from before. My question is, is there any kind of food that will fill him up more. I swear i give him so much food and he always just looks at me waiting for more. I of course am willing to spend money to feed him but it would be nice if there was something that I could buy that would get him more full and save some cash. He mainly eats crickets and a salad every day. I have given him meal worms( i know not the best) and i dont make a habit of it but i used to give him an occasional pinky, but i havent done that in awhile because i know its not very healthy. But if there is anything else i can give him to fill him up that would be great. Thanks!

Hornworms are great if you let them get to adult size one will ussually fill them up, also dubias are also a good way to go but some ppl don't like roaches. I feed supers, hornworms and dubias to adults only my juv get crickets. Greatlakeshornworm is great place to get the hornworms and they now offer supers too... :headbang:

No, you don't have to cut up the superworms. They will not chew through a reptile, that's "an old wive's tale". The beardies chew them up very well and their stomach acid also breaks it down. It's not recommended to feed supers unless the beardie is at least 15" long because of their chitin shell. Just thought I would mention that for others.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
