We are getting a beardie for Christmas! I have only seen a picture of him and he doesn't even have a name yet! But I am already worried about keeping him warm this winter in upstate NY. Last night we had a wind storm and lost power for a few hours and I was panicking about keeping my beardie warm even though he is not here yet.
What do you think about keeping some of those heat packs that they use for shipping them on hand in case we lose power? Will they be warm enough to keep him comfortable for 24 hours? And the crickets too. We don't lose power very often but I just want to be prepared. We do have a generator but it is not hooked up to the house for automatic use.
Any advice for these situations is welcome. Thanks!
