Ive had my rescue dragons for about a month now and theyve gained about 20g each which is great but they are still only 37cm and 150g severly underweight. O and theyre 2 years old.
The vet is happy with them, bone density is great, they have an appetite now ( I previously had to syringe feed babyfood ) and they are alert and have all they need viv wise - new arcadia 12% uvb bulb within 6 inches - 38 degree basking spot. But they are so so small for 2 year olds
Currently they are mostly eating bugs - crickets every other day and calci worms twice a day sometimes three times. They rarely touch their greens I mean like a mouthful every other day but as they are underweight I'm treating them like babies by letting them eat mostly protein..
They have wax worms as a treat and love them. should I be feeding them more often to try bulk my dragons up? Or is it a bit like us if I feed a skinny person fast food they will be fat not healthy?
Any experience with malnourished dragons?
Both are currently mid shed I'm hoping this is because they are growing as theyve already shed last month.
