Need urgent help!

hey guys jsut picked up a new beardie and the people didnt have a fixture for the heat lamp they only had a uvb light in the tank
i need to install and light fixture immediatly!

can someone maybe tell me what kind of light fixture i should buy so i can load my heat bulb in there?

please i need urgent help i dont want to freeze my little guy

What type of enclosure is it.You can just pick up a ceramic clamp lamp and use an ordinary household or flood bulb for it.You can also use a reptibasking bulb in it if you have one.

Do you know anything about the UVB bulb? Is it a tube flouresent type? Do you know what kind? How old?

If not, consider getting a new UVB source. They only last about 6mo. You may even consider getting a Mercury Vapor bulb that will provide UVB and UVA in one.

For the short term, a dome fixture from the petstore + a normal house bulb will do for heat.

Next step is to get a good digitial thermometer to measure the hot and cold side as well as the basking spot temps.

i have a 3x2x2 melamine enclosure .
so i can put a dome lamp in.

and my uvb bulb they gave me is a reptisun 10.0 and its brand new.
they also gave me 2 powersun 100w bulbs

what im asking is what kind of mountable fixture can i put in my melamine tank........ can someome possibly post me a home depot or loews link...thank you

as of right now i found an old desk lamp that hold up to 60w so i put in a dayglo heat bulb 60w temprary....i know day glo is bad . but this is only till tommorow

Ok I just tried to locate the fixture that I used on Gizmo's viv on line at Home Depot but I could not find it. Here is a picture of his viv and you can see the light fixture that I mounted to the top of the tank. I bought it at either Lowe's or Home depot in the electrical department. It came in two pieces but i think you can buy it together, it also came in brown. I hope this helps I'm going to look at lowe's now if i find it I will post the link for you.
