need tmporary travel enclosure setup

I am looking at some potential habitats made of screen for just a few days while we are on vacation. Does anyone know if you can turn some of the screen cages on their sides making them longer? I can then set up my beardie's lights on top to regulate temps, etc. Glass is way to hard to travel with. Any ideas would also be welcome!

also she won't travel in this, it is to put her in once we get there!!

I've heard some people just use a Rubbermaid tub, with a clamp lamp for the basking light and brackets to hang the UVB inside. If your girl is an escaper you might want something with a lid though. Or you could rig your own ventilated lid for the Rubbermaid tub, with the tub's original lid and a boxcutter and duct tape and some screen
I'm not sure how warm an all-screen cage would be, since the heat would just escape out the sides. Maybe if you lined some of the sides of the cage? Hmm.

I'm really seriously considering a zoo med reptibreeze 16 x 16 x 30. I can use reptile carpet over some cardboard on bottom, and some background liners around the sides and back. This would help keep heat in, but still be lightweight to carry. (and we just found out that she is a he! My son is so happy! ) so I need to plan for extra space when full grown.

We used a bird cage for him over night once and would do it again if the smaller glass tank doesn't fit it the car. At night I did cover part of it to keep warmth in, but we've since gotten a CHE that we would use. I also had to make a shade spot for the daytime because I put it on a table in front of a window and he seemed to LOVE that. But, I wasn't sure if he'd get scared, so I draped a big towel over part of it.

The birdcage was so easy - it's light weight, and folds flat. In the car he was in a cat carrier, but at night, I held him all bundled up.

His set up at our friends house while we were at a hunting class. They actually didn't have the a/c turned on in that room, that's why I chose it. Not drafty, and a lot warmer than the rest of the house.
