So my almost 5 month old bearded (will be 5 months on the 9th) is VERY VERY small. He is about 8.5 inches and a measly 34 grams. He is parasite free so I know its not that. He has not eaten a decent meal in about 2 months. I have been force feeding him dubia everyday but he only eats maybe 3.I had the same problem with his sister same clutch same age same problem. She has started eating though she is about 9.5-10 inches long and 68 grams. Today I have decided enough is enough, I am going to start a hard core regimen but I need to know if its safe to do.
This is everything I know about him:
Male
age 5 months
smallest of the whole clutch
does not eat greens because he hates them and just throws them around his cage but I still offer.
He is 8.5 inches 34 grams
He is in a 40 gallon breeder
tile sub
NEW arcadia d3 light
dust his food every feeding with calcium
basking temp 103-109 depending one where he sits
hot side air temp 88-93
cool side 75-85
Night temps about 65-70
I soak him 3-5 times a week

What I want to do with him
Give him pedialyte baths every day or every other day...I gave him one today. I put the mix in the water and turns out it was grape flavor...hope it doesnt matter I am going to get unflavored.
I want to puree veggies and syringe it to him daily.
Keep force feeding him dubia
Raise his humidty it is always very low it ranges from 10%-15% during the day and gets to about 20% at night I want to raise it to 20%-25% during the day and keep the night ones about the same.

IS THIS SAFE TO DO WITH HIM? Do you think its a good idea? He needs to start eating I just got his sister to start eating again when I got the dubia but he just refuses and he hates me so he gets pissy whenever I put my hand in with tongs so I have to take him out force his mouth open and stick the bug in.

Oh and I force his mouth open by pulling his lip down a little and taking the dubia and running it along his teeth to the front of his mouth I dont pry it open or jam stuff into it.I do it as gently as possible.

you need to cut back the calcium to one feeding per day for 5 days and one feeding per day of multivitamins 2 times per week. Pedialyte in his bath is fine and you can orally give it cut with water. Also if there is a covering over his uvb then remove it as it blocks the uvb. I have mine mounted on the back wall with heavy Velcro. I wouldn't worry to much about the greens as most babies ignore them till they are older, just keep offering them. Try to get his cool side down to about 75 steady if you can. Also IF they are housed together you really need to separate him..she may be dominating him causing him to not eat as she gets the food first leaving him morsels also in domination she will take the best basking spot on the log or rock. IF they are housed together they can cause serious injury and even death if one attacks the other and it does happen frequently. Domination can be a big factor in what is going on with him. You also cant compare the two dragons with their size and weight even if they are from the same clutch..beardies like children grow and develop at their own rates. You can go to petsmart to the vet part of the store and ask for critical care or carnivore care by oxbow and mix it with a bit of water for extra nutrition. Its not expensive. Hope this helps...you can also have a fecal done to rule out parasites cause if he has a heavy load they are getting the nutritional value of what he eats and he gets the leftovers so to speak. Make sure his feeders are no bigger than the space between his eyes as you don't want to risk impaction from to large a feeder.

I make slurries for my dragons...its made up of carnivore care a pinch of calcium chicken stage one baby food and baby food squash sometimes sweet potato. I mix it with a tiny amount of water and syringe feed it especially when shedding and they go off their foods. You can throw in some peas or green bean baby food also for the veggie matter.

They are house separate he has already had a fecal and he is cleaner than a whistle. I put calcium on his food daily but I will cut back to 5 days a week.
Thanks for all the advice :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
