Hey everybody,
My little guy is in a 20Long right now, and he is about 10 inches and growing like a weed!! But don't worry, I already have a nice, big (quite big) enclosure waiting for him. It is a professionally built PVC cage that measure 4'long X 2'wide X 18"high with sliding acrylic doors on the front. An equivalent to a 75 gallon, I did the math. It's quite a large enclosure so what I am going to do is block off maybe 1/3 of it so he won't have to run forever to get his crickets. I just don't know what to put in there when he uses the whole thing!!! I don't want some huge cage with only a basking rock, and a hammock in it! :) lol oh and I just put linoleum tile in as the substrate.

I was thinking maybe a large water dish he could soak in? What all do you guys think would look good? It's pretty tall too so I wanna give him some places to climb. What do you guys think??? :D

There are a ton of fun options for decorating. I know what you mean, about not wanting the tank to look bare. I had fun looking through the Viv Pics Only Thread to see everyone else's setups. http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=66704

You could get creative with a 3D background, or add nice pieces of driftwood or fake plants to create some interest. I like http://www.herpsupplies.com because they have a ton of decor to choose from.

I would keep the 20L and use if for feeding crickets to your beardie. Feeding them in their viv, especially a large one, and the crickets will find someplace to hide. When they come out at night, they will chew on your beardie. I would give him full run of the place :) let him stretch his legs :blob5:

So you dnt think he will be stressed out by the huge enclosure right now? So I should block some of it off at the moment?

Not to ignore your question, but those dimensions of your new enclosure are actually equivalent to a 90 gallon tank. My beardie is in a 75 gallon tank and it's dimensions are 4 feet long, 18 inches wide and 20 inches tall.

 Yes my calculations were wrong!!! It is 89 1/3 gallons. That's huge!! lol
But adult beardies like a lot of room don't they? I don't want to have a huge cage and not be able to use it all. I mean I got the cage for 100 bucks, so I had to get it. lol :p

Your beardie should not get stressed out, he should love it. My beardie Nero is 6 months old and 14" overall. I have him in a 6x2x2 (equivalent to a 180 Gal) and he has a ball in it.

Just make sure all your temps and lighting are good

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
