alright well i need some insight on this situation.

i have two bearded dragons, both 10 months old (going into 11) and one is male and one is female.

now theyre both housed in the same viv. the male is slightly bigger but is anti social, the female is the social one. the female constantly licks the male but the male turns away from her. now the female i raised since she was a month old, the male i bought a month ago. the female just launched herself at the male and tried nibbling on the spikes of the male, the male shook it off and went to the other side of the tank. the female then started bobbing her head. the male is not showing any signs of submissive or dominating behaviour, his beard is as clear as it could be.

now could this have happened because the female wants to mate but the male is not interested?

strange indeed, i know for a fact the gender of both bearded dragons, both were taken to a vet and both show the features of their gender. she has only recently started such hardcore head bobbing. between the two, the male is extremely passive.

Females will and do head bob as a sign of dominance, its not strictly a gender behavior.
Your female is being dominate, it has nothing to do with mating. If you don't separate them then you could end up with a seriously injured male. Dragons should not be housed together, it can cause stress and fighting is common, even between different genders.

Gail is right. They cannot be together. One will be hurt or killed, stop eating from fear, and become submissive. You will have to separate them.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
